We are excited about the first day of school tomorrow (Wednesday, August 14th, 2024). All students including seniors with a senior free should report to the auditorium for an 8:30am meeting. Schedules will be passed out at this time. Our district dress code will be enforced starting the first day of school. No colored hair, no piercings other than earrings for girls, boys must be cleanly shaven and hair should not be longer than the earlobe at the side. It is going to be a great year at WHS!

For a parking spot, you must have your driver’s license or permit to have first choice. You can sign up in the high school office on Tuesday, August 13th at the following times:
Seniors-11 to 11:45am
Juniors-11:45 to 12:30pm
Sophomores-12:30 to 1:15pm
Seniors, Juniors and Sophomores without a driver’s license or permit-1:15 to 2pm
All freshmen with or without a permit-2pm to 2:45pm

🚀Online registration is now open to any returning student in Wellington ISD. Students new to our district will register in person at the high school office Thursday, August 1st from 9am to noon. Please bring your child's birth certificate, immunization record and social security card. 🚀


Summer school for jr high students starts July 22-July 30th from 8:00am-3:00pm. Parents have been notified if their child is needing to attend.

Help the tennis courts get new lights! The Wellington Tennis Tournament is July 19-21st and you can sign up for three different divisions for only $10 per event per division. Contact Amy Inman for more information!🎾🎾🎾

Wellington 4-H members competed in the Range and Pasture Grass ID contest at the Texas 4-H State Roundup.

Three Skyrocket football players and recent graduates from the Class of 2024 represented WHS in the ASCO All-Star Classic tonight in Lubbock. Fabian Pina and Ramon Rodriguez were on the red team while Ethan Nevarez was on the blue team. The game ended in a 14 to 14 tie. Thanks for representing the red and white 🚀 one last time Ethan, Fabian and Ramon! We are very proud! 🏈⭐️⭐️🏈








Wellington Skyrocket Basketball Camp is next week for all incoming 2nd through 9th grade boys. Camp starts Tuesday, May 28th at 9am!
