Wellington FFA members competed in the Salt Fork Soil and Water competition in Wellington today.
Jacy Lampe was the 2nd place high individual and the team of Jace Darrow, Lisette Vela, Jacy Lampe, Heather Peters and Trenton Wright finished as the 2nd place team. Congratulations! 🚀🥈🚀


Due to a scheduling conflict, we are moving the pageants to May 5th at 2pm. Entries will now be due April 22nd. Elementary and junior high will now get the entry forms next week. 👑


2024 Rocket Relays is TODAY. Field events start at 1:30 and running finals at 4pm. Come out and support Skyrocket Track and Field and visit the concession stand as much as you can. 🚀🏃♀️🏃🏽♂️🚀

Congratulations to the cast and crew of WHS's All My Sons for being chosen as the bi-district champions today at the bi-district one act play contest in Wellington. For the second straight contest, Kaseten Welch was named best performer. Jackson Jones was named to the all-star cast and Damiana Peters and Caleb Strickland were honorable mention all-star cast once again this week. Anna Granadoz received a technical award. Congratulations to Director Lana Tillman and all our kids. Area will be April 12th in Lubbock. Congratulations Rockets! 🚀🏆🥇🎭🚀







Wellington FFA members competed in the Tri County land judging contest held in Childress today. The team of Jace Darrow, Jacy Lampe, Heather Peters, Lisette Vela and Trenton Wright placed 6th. Jace Darrow was the 5th place individual. Congratulations! 🚀


WHS is hosting the bi-district one act play contest TODAY in the auditorium with the first play scheduled to start at 1pm. WHS is the fourth play and should go on around 4pm. Awards including the announcement of the three advancing plays should start around 7pm. Cost of admission is free so come out and enjoy six great plays! Home Grounds will be selling coffee for $5 in the lobby.


Little Miss/Junior Miss/Teen Miss Wellington pageants will be Sunday, April 21st at 2pm. Entry forms will go home with elementary and junior high girls Thursday!


Lady Rockets finished as the second place district runner up team behind Memphis by 6 shots advancing to regionals. The team advancing includes Allie Duncan, Kaitlin Bawcom, Maggie Tillman, Brynlee Proffitt and Kendra Bawcom. Also competing today was Briley Waters, Emma Flores and Ava Garcia.
Skyrocket varsity boys are your district champion team winning by 50 shots. WHS freshman, Carter Ouellette, was the individual district champion. Senior, Gatlin Guy, was the 3rd place individual medalist.
The boys team advancing to regionals is Carter Ouellette, Gatlin Guy, Gunner Guy, Hunter Hedrick and Major Brown. Also competing for the boys was Carson Kane, Travis Tillman, Conner Bowen, Jake Chandler and Jace Darrow.

Our Lady Rocket and Skyrocket golf teams completed the first round of district play today in Childress. The boys are sitting in first and the girls are sitting in second. Round two will be completed on Tuesday in Childress so check back for results. Go Skyrocket golf! 🚀⛳️🚀

Need a dress for prom or an upcoming pageant? The Miss Wellington Scholarship Organization will have their first ever pre-loved boutique event tomorrow from 1pm to 4pm at the First Methodist Church. While monetary donations are not required, any donations will go towards the Miss Wellington Scholarship Fund.
